With an undeniable fan base and recent cosign from good kid Kendrick Lamar, real life experiences paired with a lyrical knack have landed Kansas City emcee Gee Watts in the speakers of hip hop heads everywhere.

With the critical acclaim of his debut project, “Watts Up”, Gee is hitting the road with his first headlining tour. Noticeable locals Ricky Jones, Souls of Liberty and J’Demul will also be performing. The event will be held at the Blank Space and doors open at 9:00pm. Experimental Hip-Hop artist Darris Robins is committed to the community and his music is a good depiction of his character. A former Berklee College of Music student, Darris’ love for music has grown since his days of being in an elementary school band. His first album, “My Beautiful Dark Freshman Year in College” has been well received throughout the United States for its organic and original sound with meaningful substance. Darris’ single “May I Have Some Change” is a dedication to people suffering from homelessness. Check the official video out below.

On Saturday, September 1st, 2012, Stereo Assault Radio celebrates two years of being on-air broadcast services on Webster University’s The Galaxy Radio station by kicking off their bi-weekly concert series. The event will be held at the Winnie More Auditorium located in Webster Hall of Webster University and doors open at 12:00pm.

DJ Twinny Twin will be spinning the Labor Day Saturday away with live music performances, music videos and networking opportunities for new and returning students at Webster Un
iversity. The concert will feature St. Louis artists Thelonius Kryptonite and Darris Robins, out-of-towners, Chicago’s Babyface Monster and Atlanta’s Karpay DM, and as well as up-and-coming band, Antidote for the Cure will get their third opportunity to play at Webster University.

Stereo Assault Radio is one of St. Louis’ premier college hip hop radio shows and has interviewed local and national artists since September 2010.
